This was originally one painting on paper, the close up of the sheep drinking. John decided to make it into a quartet of paintings, with the effect of looking through a window at this scene, painted at Charlie's house next to Walnut Creek. These works were painted in 2011. Each quarter measures 14.5 inches x 16 inches. Framed all together they measure 42 inches x 45 inches.
